Background
The event began in 2005 as an amateur fun run organised by parents and teachers of Our Lady of the Rosary, Caloundra as a fundraiser for the Parents & Friends Association. Being a parent at the school, and knowing her event management experience, skills and resources could greatly support the event's growth, j2 company director, Joanna Jordan personally lent her time in a voluntary capacity.
Following significant event growth and development in 2010/2011, j2 was engaged by the Parents and Friends Association in 2012 to manage registrations, sponsorship, event timing and other critical event deliverables.
